Confederation College is receiving 450-thousand dollars for it’s
apprenticeship programs.
The funding will go towards expanding & modernizing the shops and labs
for Automotive Service Technicians, heavy duty equipment technicians, truck
and coach technicians, general carpenters and other trades.
The funding is part of a 10 million dollar announcement made today by the
Minister of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
The McGuinty Government hopes to increase the number of apprentices
annually to 26-thousand.
