As the saying goes, if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again!
The City of Dryden is taking another shot at securing badly needed Provincial funding for the rehabilitation of the Duke Street Overpass.
Director of Engineering and Public Works Mike Louttit says they are submitting an application under the Connecting Link program.
The cost of the project is $2.5-million, with the program covering 90% of the costs.
The project was the City’s number one priority last year, but was turned down by the Ontario Government.
Other projects on the list include the design for improvements to Highway 17, the reconstruction of Duke Street from Colonization to Casimir Avenue and the reconstruction of Government Street from Keith Avenue and Park Avenue.
