The first meeting of the Conservative Party of Canada in the Kenora Riding will take place Saturday, killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
Jim Hook is President of the old Tory Riding Association in Kenora-Rainy River and says it will not only formally bring members of the two parties together, but an executive for the new Kenora Riding Association will be elected.
Hook says even if the two parties had not merged, the Tories would have been looking at a new foundation anyway.
The meeting will take place in Vermilion Bay because of its central location.
