MP John McCallum accused the Immigration Minister of trying to appease their anti-immigration reform base.
Meanwhile, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Costas Menegakis threw shade back at the Liberal MP suggesting he didn’t vote for any programs in support of newcomers.
The argument was sparked by a briefing note for a Conservative MP that suggested the government is worried about how spending on immigration programs is going over with their base.
