About 200 new jobs are expected to be created with the conversion of Atikokan’s Generating Station.
Construction is underway to convert the plant from using coal to biomass and is expected to be complete by 2014.
This move will make the plant the only one in Ontario, and one of the largest biomass facilities in the world.
