Plans for a new school on Whitedog First Nation, just outside Kenora, are moving forward.
Penn-Co Construction of Steinbach, Manitoba has been awarded a $25-million contract to build the facility.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford says this is a priority issue.
The Kindergarten to Grade 12-school will house as many as 460-students.
Construction is expected to start this Fall, with a completion date set for sometime in 2011.
