There are renewed calls for Ontario’s minimum wage to be set at $15 an hour.
Community groups and trade unions are hoping the province’s review of Ontario’s employment standards and labour laws will lead to improvements for the lowest-wage earners.
Ontario upped the wage to $11 an hour last June with annual increases every October based on inflation.
Advocates says the hike is still keeping many people below the poverty line.
