Provincial Police in Ignace are reporting a seizure of contraband tobacco.
On Thursday, Police say they stopped a vehicle on Highway 17 20 kilometres west of Ignace.
As a result of the stop they discovered 27 cases with 1 thousand 350 cartons of unmarked cigarettes worth around 67 thousand dollars.
56 year old Robert Brown of Winnipeg was charged with Trafficking in Contraband Tobacco.
Brown was released from custody and will appear in court on June 25, 2018 to answer to the charges.
