Controversial Legislation Expected To Pass

A report is due today from an all-party committee that examined the Liberal government’s anti-strike legislation for Ontario teachers.
The committee heard from unions, advocacy groups, trustees and principals’ associations.
It had just a few hours to consider the bill would also rein in wages, impose unpaid days off and cut benefits for teachers.
The bill is expected to pass either today or tomorrow with the help of the Progressive Conservatives.
