After a warm start to 2006, things cooled off across Northwestern
Ontario in February.
Sandy Radecki is with Environment Canada and says the total amount of
snowfall dropped along with the mercury.
Radecki adds the average amount of snowfall for February is usually
18-centimetres but local residents only saw 10-centimetres.
She adds the average temperature in February was minus 14.5,
which surpassed the minus 13 mark we usually experience.
