Cool Month Of September In Dryden

After a warm summer it was actually a chilly September in the Dryden area.

Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services has the recap from last month.

“Our average September temperature since 2000 is 13.0 but this month we only got to 11.2. That matches the long term average for the end of the last century but it’s definitely on the cold side. It’s actually the second coldest since 2000. Only 2010 was colder.”

The high temperature of the month was 22.6 on the 22nd, while the low was -0.5 on September 18.

There were a number of rainy days in the month of September but there was little impact.

We had 16 days of rain, above the average of 10.

However a below average 58.4-millimetres hit the ground, which is on the dry side.

Most of the rain came on two days with 39.2 on September 2 and 3.
