Earlier this week I was Facebook video messaging my father who lives in Southern Ontario. It was then that I noticed that for the first time EVER we had the same haircut!
With hair salons and barbershops still shuttered because of COVID concerns, my wife ‘shaved’ my head while my Dad did his own…and he’s 87!! Now we’re ‘twinzies’ with what I will call the “Corona Cut”.
It felt good to know that the day had finally arrived that my father always said years ago would. He often told me growing up that I would eventually look like him and have a full head of naturally black curly hair. The closest I ever got to that was with many perm jobs which consisted of at least 2 different colours. Those were the days! Or not.
Now we are identical thanks to the “Corona Cut”!! Well at least one of us had to cut his hair. I guess really it was more like my Dad becoming more like me rather than me like him. I think that makes hairly sense doesn’t it?
These days many are waiting anxiously for the return of ‘normal’ when we’ll be able to go to our favourite barber or hair salon and get a proper cut by the professionals. Until then good luck with your ‘Corona Cut’!!
