It has become more costly to eat healthy in the Kenora and Rainy River
Districts.
A new survey shows the cost of feeding a family of 4 is $660 a
month, which is 14% higher than it was 6 years ago.
Jennifer Maki is a Public Health Nutritionist with the Northwestern
Health Unit and says nothing has been done to help local families.

Maki says they intend to lobby the province for a higher living wage
and encourage grocery stores to curb the cost of healthy products.
