Cottage Destroyed in Fire

A cottage has been destroyed following a fire on Canyon Lake, about 35-kilometres north of Vermilion Bay.
Machin Fire Crews were dispatched Thursday night.
Officials say an American couple left their cabin to go fishing and they returned to witness the home completely engulfed in flames.
Fire crews were hampered by downed power lines as well as limited access to the property.
The cause is under investigation.
