Cottage Lot Development in Atikokan

A major step has been reached for cottage development in Atikokan.
The Provincial Govenment is calling for proposals to explore
development of Crown Land on 3-lakes.
Natural Resources Minister David Ramsay says this is a great
opportunity for developers to come forward with plans for cottage lot
development on Plateau Lake, Jackfish and Lerome Lake.
Ramsay adds by freeing up Crown Land, Atikokan will be able to expand
tourism and recreation opportunities.
The selection of a developer, environmental assessments and approval
process could take 1 to 3 years to complete.
