The City of Dryden is lobbying both levels of Government, opposing a proposed Highway 17 bypass.
The Ministry of Transportation is in the midst of reviewing that option and others to relieve some of the congestion.
Mayor Sid Wintle says they are asking for funding to upgrade Highway 17 through Dryden as well as the Highway 594-Gordon Road corridor.
Wintle says he is concerned that the MTO would force the City to maintain a bypass.
