Be aware of another scam possibly making the rounds in northwestern Ontario.
Hydro One says customers have been receiving automated calls with a message threatening to disconnect power unless an immediate payment is received.
Officials stress they aren’t disconnecting anyone at this time and in fact are extending flexibility and payment options for customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
You are asked to not provide personal information.
Hydro One warns customers may experience other fraud attempts.
