COVID Outbreak At Fort Frances Care Home

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Rainycrest Long Term Care Home in Fort Frances.

Two staff tested positive.

It comes as Riverside Health Care prepares to institute rapid antigen testing.

Staff testing will now increase to twice weekly at minimum, with all residents undergoing testing as well.

Visits are restricted, except for palliative residents.

Riverside adds a new shipment of vaccines for its long-term care facilities in Fort Frances, Emo and Rainy River is to arrive this week.

It will go to consenting residents and staff and to priority hospital staff in Emo, Rainy River and Fort Frances.
