COVID School Case In Emo

A case of COVID-19 has been confirmed connected to a school in Emo.

One classroom at Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program has been temporarily closed as a precaution.

The Rainy River District School Board says the person with the virus is a student.

The school board is currently working with the Northwestern Health Unit on monitoring and next steps.

It’s the second case impacting schools in this region since in-class learning resumed last week.

The first was opening couple of days at Pope John Paul II School in Kenora.
