Canadian Pacific Railway and the City of Dryden want to ensure they are ready in case disaster strikes.
The two are holding a mock disaster on September 16th.
CP Community Relations Manager Rick Paznikoff says a training exercise is the perfect time to find out if there are any holes in the emergency plan.
The exercise will involve CP staff, City officials and first responders.
An average of 27 trains travel through Dryden each day, with 5-percent of all rail cars in Canada estimated to be carrying hazardous material.
