Over three thousand striking CPR workers are heading back to work after their union and the Railway agreed to send their labour dispute to arbitration. Labour Minister Kellie Leitch made the surprise announcement early Monday afternoon, saying the Government would not proceed with back to work legislation in the day old strike. 3,300 locomotive engineers, conductors and other workers represented by Teamsters Canada Rail Conference went on strike Sunday.
