An important fundraiser for local Food Banks is Saturday in Dryden, Ignace and Vermilion Bay.
The festive Canadian Pacific Holiday Train makes its annual appearance in support of local Food Banks.
Spokesperson Kevin Hrysak says area residents are asked to bring a food or monetary donation.
Hrysak notes Food Bank use is up 9% this year and 28% compared to 2008.
The train is scheduled to arrive in Ignace at 9:45, Dryden 12:15 and Vermilion Bay 1:45.
Canadian rock-band ‘The Odds’ will be performing and Santa Claus will be on hand.
