CRA Voicemail Scam Hits Region

Be aware of a voicemail suggesting you will be arrested and taken to court because of an outstanding payment to the Canada Revenue Agency.

It’s part of an on-going scam making the rounds in northwestern Ontario.

Police say the voicemail is something new.

Police stress do not respond, but if you are unsure check your account online or call the Agency’s toll-free number, not the one provided in the voicemail.
