Northwestern Ontario and Northern Minnesota’s
Crimestoppers program walked away with six provincial
awards at their annual conference.
Spokesperson Bill Herington says it’s the first time the
region has won this many province wide awards.

Herington says each of the award winner’s play a large
role in getting important information out to their
community.
Winners include Kenora’s Daily Miner and News, Fawcett
Broadcasting’s 89.5 Mix FM, and N.W.O Crimestopper’s
President OPP Constable Gary Potter.
