A major drug bust for the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service.
The Regional Integrated Gang Unit received a Crimestoppers tip of drugs going into the remote community of Kasabonika First Nation, about 375-kilometres northeast of Pickle Lake.
Police investigated and seized 70-Oxycontin tablets worth an estimated $5,600.
The street value is significantly more in remote Northern communities, often sold for $300 a pill.
Police say 50-year-old Morris Anderson of Kasabonika is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
