A cross Canada runner is one of three who have been charged following a bizarre prank in Schreiber.
An individual who was escorting the 34-year-old Quebec man contacted police and stated the runner was abducted by 2-men at gunpoint and forced into a small car just west of the community.
Provincial Police then received a second call informing officers that it was a prank.
Two men assisting the runner had planned the event as a prank and the weapons used weren’t real.
Police didn’t find it very funny and the three have been charged.
The accused have been identified as 25-year-old Vincent Chabot of McMasterville, Quebec, 24-year-old Sebastien St. Martin of Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, Quebec and 34-year-old Sebastien Sasseville of Quebec City, Quebec.
