The Dryden Area Cultural Partnership has asked Council for long-term
funding assistance to build on its already strong foundation.
The group has been in operation for about a year-and-a-half.
Chair Judith Hamilton says they are seeking $5,000 per year, leading up to 2010.
Hamilton says the financial support would enable the group to promote cultural activities in the community and become incorporated in order to secure Provincial and Federal grants.
$5,000 has been set aside in the 2008 budget for cultural
planning.
