The Canadian Union of Public Employees is getting more and more frustrated with the lack of movement on contract talks with the province and school boards.
Education workers represented by the union are seeking a conciliator.
CUPE bargaining chair Terri Preston says they were expecting a meaningful summer of bargaining but it’s now clear they need assistance to get talks going.
Preston says they’re not prepared to go another school year without a contract.
The 55,000 workers represented by the union have been without a contract since last September.
