CUPE Pleased with Land Ambulance Deal

The Kenora District Services Board and the Union representing
140-land ambulance and clerical workers have ratified a new contract.
Keith Hunt is President of CUPE Local 5911 and says 83% of his
members voted in favour of the deal.
The Sioux Lookout Paramedic says the agreement gets them back to the
same level of their counterparts in Fort Frances.
The 3-year agreement includes improved benefits and an increase in
wages.
Hunt still believes steps should be taken to have wage parody across
Ontario.
