The union representing caretaking and maintenance staff with the Public School Board are preparing to work-to-rule starting Thursday.
Canadian Union of Public Employees Regional representative Marion Hyatt says their action isn’t intended to impact students.
Hyatt says their workers have been without a contract since last September, but have held very few meetings since to reach a new deal.
Talks are scheduled to resume the same day as the start of the labour action.
Hyatt says they are disappointed that they had to take this action, but notes support staff have been left behind in negotiations between the province and educators.
