A 5.7 cent reduction in the provincial gas tax is now in effect.
Northern Ontario MPP and Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Vic Fedeli stresses it’s now time for the feds to step up to the plate.
“We’ve done what we can to help inflation by reducing our share and I really think it’s important to put money back into the pockets of people. We’ve set an example by lowering the price of gas and cutting the licence plate renewal fee.”
Fedeli says those two moves will save motorists about $465 for this year.
He believes the feds should recognize what the pain families are going through and join them on that.
