Cuts on the Horizon at Bowater Thunder Bay

A sign the Provincial electricity rebate may not be enough as Bowater
in Thunder Nay has announced it will undertake a major restructuring.
The restructuring includes a review of all operations, existing union
agreements and the size of its workforce.
In a letter to workers, the Company is proposing moving towards the operation
of just 2-paper machines and 1-Kraft Mill.
Union officials are outraged and shocked as the letter was sent the
same day Premier McGuinty announced his energy plan.
