The 1st issue of substance has arisen in Kenora Rainy River for Campaign 03, the Spring Bear Hunt.
Both Tory Candidate Cathe Hoszowski & Liberal Geoff McClain want to see it returned while New Democrat incumbent Howard Hampton would be happy to see the hunt remain cancelled.
Hoszowski says the Harris Government made a big mistake in originally mothballing the hunt while McClain knows it would be a tough sell with his Southern collegues but he vows to try.
NDP Leader Hampton says a new policy is needed & local governments should not have to be responsible for nuisance bruins.
