The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters are
pleased the Minister of Natural Resources decided against
building a dam on the Steel River near Terrace Bay.
OFAH Spokesperson Robert Pye says the operation would
have damaged trout fisheries.

Pye says the dam would have only provided electricity
for around 200 homes, which doesn’t justify ruining an
entire fishery.
