Daniel Beardy Case in the Spotlight

A preliminary hearing into the death of Daniel Beardy starts Thursday in Thunder Bay.
The 19-year-old son of Nishnawbe Aski Nation Chief Stan Beardy was found outside a Fort William First Nation home last summer with severe injuries stemming from an apparent beating.
He later succumbed to his injuries in Hospital.
23-year-old Corey Wesley has been charged with manslaughter in relation to the incident.
A number of NAN members residents plan to hold a vigil outside the courthouse during the hearing.
