As expected, Dryden Council has gone with Darryl Skinner to fill the seat left vacant by Ken Moss.
Skinner was the first runner-up in the last Municipal election.
Mayor Greg Wilson believes they now have a strong team in place to move the community forward.
Wilson says Skinner brings fresh ideas to the table and stresses this is a time for change with several new faces in place.
He adds the timing is perfect as they are just about to start working on their strategic plan.
Skinner is the past director of the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce and he carries 20-years of business and customer service experience.
During his municipal election campaign, where he finished just outside the top six, Skinner championed on more affordable housing options and helping Dryden become debt free.
A swearing in ceremony will be held Monday.
