Dave Canfield Ready To Resume Work With NOMA

A new mandate for the President of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association.
Dave Canfield was re-elected as Mayor of Kenora and that means he will get to continue on his duties with NOMA.
He says one of his goals is to increase autonomy for the region.
Canfield says he’d like to take a closer look at a model currently being used in northern Quebec and see if they can make it work in Ontario.
Canfield says NOMA has developed a good working relationship with Premier Kathleen Wynne and is hoping that will bear fruit over the next few years.
Ultimately he wants Queen’s Park to give this region more responsibility over things such as land development and planning.
