Local firearms activist Bruce Montague’s constitutional challenge of
Canada’s Firearms Act is into its fourth day and the Defense’s 2-possible
expert witnesses still dominate discussions.
The Crown spent Wednesday afternoon arguing that the President of the
National Firearms Association should not be deemed an expert in the case.
However, a judge has mentioned David Tomlinson would serve a purpose,
since he’s familiar with the gun registry.
The judge in Montague’s case has still not handed down a decision.
The case will resume in Kenora Superior Court at 10 Thursday morning.
