This is day two of the Northern Bands Hockey Tournament at the Dryden Memorial Arena.
Twenty games are on the schedule, starting with Kasabonika and Cat Lake at 9 o’clock.
Max Kakepetum is one of the organizers, and says there has been a lot of interest in the event with 24-teams.
Kakeptum says that’s a good number for this year, but notes they have some good plans to expand next year.
Kakepetum says Dryden has been a great host so far.
He notes some junior scouts are here and the hockey has already been exceptional.
The Tournament also features an Old-Timers game on Thursday night starting at 7 o’clock.
Former NHL’ers Wayne Babych and Thomas Steen are scheduled to take part.
There will also be a feast and Bannock Bake Off on Saturday.
