De-Icing 17 Will Continue

the ministry of transportation is again conducting its anti-icing program on highway 17 between dryden and the manitoba boundary.
the liquid chemical is still in the trial stage but officials say to date it has been effective in improving driver safety and reducing the use of salt.
the environmentally friendly substance is now being applied and a full evaluation of the technology will be carried out once the trial period ends this winter.
