De-Icing on Highway 17

It worked well last Winter and will be tried again on sections of the Trans-Canada from Dryden to the Manitoba border.
A special anti-icing agent will be sprayed on the Highway as part of the regular winter roads program.
Feedback last winter was very positive according to Larry Lambert, MTO Regional Director.
The chemical is sprayed twice a week and prevents the buildup of snow leading to black ice conditions.
