So far so good.
MTO field staff say the anti-icing agent being tested on highway 17 between Dryden & the Manitoba border is working well.
For the past 6 weeks, Ministry crews have been applying the compound to the roads a couple of times a week to prevent snow & ice buildup.
It only works when the temperature is above -12 but to date, tests seem to indicate the anti-icing chemicals are delivering the desired results.
