***Death now considered homicide. OPP asking for public assistance.
Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout are investigating a death in the community.
On Wednesday, police say they responded to a report of an injured male on Seventh Avenue and Roy Lane in Sioux Lookout. Police say once they were met by Emergency Medical Services who were treating a 40 year old man identified as George Tait from Sachigo Lake First Nation.
Tait was transported for medical treatment where he was later pronounced dead.
Members of the OPP North West Region Crime Unit, the North West Region Emergency Response Team and Forensic Identification Services are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner.
