Decision Time For Dryden Council On Vacant Position

The options to replace Ken Moss are on the table and now it’s up to Dryden Council to make a decision.

After learning what the City can do to fill the vacant Council seat Monday night, they met behind closed doors to discuss where to go.

Council now has 60-days to appoint someone or hold a by-election.

It’s unlikely that a by-election will be called, given the fact that Council didn’t go that way with the vacant Mayor’s position and the $16,000-$25,000 price tag.

Council will likely go with an appointment and has several options.

They could go with the results of the last Municipal election, where Darryl Skinner was the first runner-up.

He has told CKDR News that if asked, he would accept the job.
