Deer a Record

The white-tailed deer illegally killed north of Dryden in November
2003 has set a new Ontario record.
The 18-point rack of the deer, now known as the “Dryden Buck”, has set
the record according to an official scorer. (Boone and Crockett)
However, the Ministry of Natural Resources has decided to not register
it as a record because it was killed illegally.
Spokesperson Bryan Merritt says it could have been a memory of a
Lifetime, however the hunter displayed a complete lack of respect for the
law.
The rack is now on display at the Dryden Museum.
