Delay’s on Highway 17 Near Kenora

The Ministry of Transportation is asking motorists to be patient when
traveling Highway 17, near the Kenora By-pass.
The $11-million reconstruction project is underway and should be
finished by August.
MTO Spokesperson Dave McColl says they plan to widen the road to better
accommodate large vehicles.
McColl says motorists have been experiencing 15 to 20-minute delays during blasting.
Pioneer Construction is also working on improving sight lines and
culverts as well as resurfacing the roadway.
