The City of Dryden will no longer be illuminating the outdoor Christmas Tree immediately after Remembrance Day.
Andrew Marsh has been notified that the City will now wait until all of the wreaths from the Cenotaph are removed before turning the lights on.
Marsh says he wrote to Council expressing his concerns, noting we should be giving our veterans and our soldiers the respect that they deserve.
The Legion says it usually removes the wreaths 1-week after November 11th.
Marsh says he was ecstatic with the City’s response to his letter.
