Officials in Atikokan are outraged with the Province’s decision to
close the Coal-Fired Generating Station and the Government’s lack of courage
to make the announcement after the Legislature stopped sitting.
Mayor Dennis Brown believes the Province doesn’t understand the
social and financial devastation that will result when the station closes.
