With great sadness we announce the passing of Dennis Calvin Schei, age 49 years, peacefully in hospice Little Rock, Arkansas, March 27th, following a courageous battle with cancer, with his son Jacob of Texas, daughter Jennifer (Garred) and granddaughter Kayden of Louisiana, by his side.
He will be so missed by his family and sister Lorna Bornhorst (Allan) of Duncan B.C. all his close friends that were family to him and his relatives.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Myrtle Schei, stepbrothers Larry and Duane Norman, stepsister Adeline Aashiem.
Dennis lived in Montana, North Dakota, Alaska, Louisiana, then to Arkansas. He was a heavy duty mechanic for many years home base was Alaska, then he and his family re-located to Louisiana. He traveled throughout the States working at the job he loved. In 2002 he was hit by a drunk driver and unable to work. He persevered daily in pain raising his children. Dennis always had a smile, a positive outlook on life and loved to talk. He would end the conversation “Love You, Be Safe”.
Dennis’ wishes are to be cremated and his ashes to be spread in the Swanson River in Alaska.
