A family of four is without a home following a fire in Sandy Lake First Nation.
The fire evacuees returned home on the weekend to find the charred remains of their residence.
Chief Adam Fiddler says when all evacuees return home, the community will pull together in support of the family.
Fiddler notes a fundraising drive is already in the works.
Fiddler stresses there are no homes in the area as the community currently has a waiting list of nearly 200.
A Band Spokesperson says while the cause of the weekend blaze isn’t known, he confirms it was not caused by wildfire activity.
